I help people move their bodies well and with confidence, because no one wants to feel locked up in their body.
You'll know exactly what to do and feel confident as soon as you walk into your gym or training space.
Movement Training doesn't have to be overwhelming or confusing.
My students know exactly what they need to do to achieve their movement and flexibility goals. Beyond that, they are creating vital, strong and adaptable bodies that they are proud of and feel confident in.

Testimonials:
David Wilson, 60 years old, Online Student - Toronto, Canada:
"I have a pretty stiff spine and zero gymnastic background. I am experiencing success because Farid has tailored a program that started where I was. It is neither too easy nor too hard. It works to help me to develop skills and confidence because it is specific to me.
Farid’s observations and suggestions when he watches my videos are encouraging and precise. They make it possible for me to understand how to progress and how to embody the intent of a movement.
When I have success, he suggests something just a little different that helps me explore the movement in a new way and get progressively stronger, more mobile and more skilled.”

Alex, Online Student - Hong Kong, China:
“This has been one of the most rewarding physical culture experiences I’ve had and I don’t plan on stopping.
I have a clear sense of what I'm aiming for, feel like I'm finally addressing stuff that I wasn't previously (and didn't know how) and am making progress.
I’m really comfortable with the way on which you’ve been presenting the movement.
Anyways, looking forward to more!"

I like your movement style that is very inspiration. I don't know why when I do movement that I feel freedom.
It has different feeling between yoga and movement.

I know what you're thinking, movement training is overwhelming, where do even I start?
That's the most common question I get regarding the movement training perspective.
Part of my job as a teacher is to take the important and interesting concepts around movement, and make them accessible for everyone. Like the process of learning new movement patterns that will free up your body and make you feel better about living in your body. Flexibility and joint mobility is another big concept, how to unlock more range of motion from the body in order to express this freedom of movement.
There's no one size fits all approach because everyone has their own individual requirements. This is fine, because I've done the research into the different ways of approaching a movement practice for you, so you won't have to.
I'll get you moving your body in a variety of different ways and feeling a lot better about your body and movement.
"Use it or lose it"
It's all well and good sitting here behind the screen and reading about it all. But to make it happen, you need to take action. So come learn and regain your capacity for movement with me, you won't regret it.

About me:
How did it all begin?
“Farid, you’re not supposed to be in here” were some of the words that were uttered at me on a weekly basis as a young boy.
Mr. Arnett, the head of the Physical Education department at my secondary school would constantly catch me in “Gym 3” after hours. I would be busy practicing my favourite movements on all of the gymnastics equipment before eventually being caught, and escorted out. I remember knowing and dreading the fact that it was only a matter of minutes, before he would hear me dragging mats and stomping around in there trying whatever movement I was obsessing over at the time. I had to do something about this. As I was making the long walk across the halls with Mr Arnett, I simply looked up at him and thought of a deal. The best deal ever. “Sir, if you’re not going to supervise me, then would consider getting someone in who will?” He looked at me pensively, and then came back with “There’s not enough interest, Farid.” Not enough interest? As far as I was concerned, the whole world wanted to practice movement. “So if I get 5 other friends to sign up for an after school club, would you’ll find someone?” “Deal.” I had won. All I had to do was tell 5 of my friends that there was going to be an after school training session dedicated to learning all of the physical skills and movements that we all dreamed about doing. So it started, every Tuesday afternoon. The best day of the week. |
This has continued over the years and I now spend my time helping people discover movement. My students are creating vital, strong and adaptable bodies that they are proud of and feel confident in. Beyond that still, they are enjoying a lifestyle shift which celebrates the excitement of physical activity again.
I want people to discover, or rediscover movement. To start feeling good about themselves, their bodies and become more confident humans.
