And so it was a few days later that I received a message from him about the possibility of training with me 1:1. I soon found out that Jon had only recently discovered movement through the GMB programs, and had experienced the "Paradigm shift". A new way of relating to fitness, health and well being through things like full body movement training, skill acquisition and general physical development. Jon came to me with a limited movement background. Living a sedentary desk job lifestyle, he was hardly able to sit on the floor with his legs extended in front of him. He did not possess much awareness of his own strength, coordination or capabilities either. My favorite part is that he's a busy working husband, and father of two beautiful daughters, one of whom joined us for a session in the park once. Jon makes it a point to come out once, if not twice a week to train with me on his midday break. He then goes back to eat lunch at his desk. And when i'm not around, he's working on all of the material, preparation and progressions I've put together for him, as well as all of the other activities he enjoys. I often get messages from him with pictures and video's from some of his own training, which I dissect for cues and feedback. We then share the insights in session. Jon wants to learn everything. He has essentially, developed a passion and discovered his own movement practice through open mindedness, pleasure, joy and dedication. The results are in. He can move better than ever, and his old slim fit shirts and trousers don't fit the new muscle mass anymore. More importantly, he looks great, he is vital, more confident and feels a lot better on the whole as a result. Jon, you are Hard As F**k. Big up to you sir. It's a real pleasure for me to be on this journey with you. Your enthusiasm is infectious and you are a brilliant example of someone who works hard and gets it. Looking forward to the rest of it!
